I am using a small size L&L DLH11-DX Test Kiln. The L&L DLH11-DX Test Kiln is a solid choice for a home studio, and firing to Cone 6 (around 1220°C / 2232°F) is ideal for mid-range glazes — offering durability and a wide variety of finishes. It fits me, as I usually has the glaze fire to Cone 6.

I am using underglaze from different suppliers, brands like AMACO and Mayco, also different suppliers in Jingdezhen and Japan. AMACO (American Art Clay Co.) Velvet Underglazes: Known for their rich, matte finish and wide color range. LUG (Liquid Underglaze): Great for detailed painting and layering. Also offers semi-moist pans and underglaze pencils for fine detail work 1. Mayco Fundamentals Underglazes: Versatile and intermixable, suitable for greenware, bisque, or leather-hard clay. Speedball Offers bright, saturated colors that are easy to apply and fire well at a range of temperatures 1. Spectrum Known for vibrant, opaque colors that work across a wide firing range (Cone 06–10) 1. Coyote Specializes in high-fire underglazes that retain color vibrancy even at Cone 10 2.
